Ah, Newsarama. You try so hard. And yet your headlines and story teasers just don't make any sense.
Here's just a few examples of how the comics "news" site has recently mangled the English language.

Workin' on the Thor moves / tryin' to lose those / awkward Mjolnir blues / workin' on the Thor moves / and it was Ragnarok / Ragnarok, Ragnarok

"Aaron Campbell on Sherlock Holmes" sounds like like a promo for a pictorial on a gay, Victorian-era fictional character porn site.

Maybe this tease's tense change from past to present is a subtle, clever nod toward Dr. Manhattan-style time fluctuations?
Nah.

I don't know what's timely about dropping the "r" off the end of your last name, but, hey, whatever makes him feel better about himself and his "outrage of (at?) Tom Kruse."

Yes, but what comic series is it about?

If there's one thing I can't say about Newsarama's terrible headlines, it's that they're predictable.
But here's hoping the makers of "Video Game" make it through this rough patch.

That first headline makes my head hurt a lot. What the hell is the "American comic book economy?" Is it like, a whole national money system dominated by Rob Liefeld number-one issues and "X-Men" chromium covers?
The second headline is a question with an easy answer, however: Somebody goddamn drew him into them.

it would be awesome if they didn't have awkward syntax errors. just kidding, it would still be stupid.

Comic people don't need intelligent, well-written journalism. If they did, they wouldn't be comic people, they'd be.... "functional people."
That said, I don't think having somebody appear in a comic is as easy as just drawing them. First - you have to get all your pixie dust down on the paper ahead of time. Then you have to have a large enough electro-magnetic device to transfer the image and a small percentage of the "Prez Power" to the book. It's a complicated process involving a unique combination of time, magic, hard science and-zzzzzzzzzzzz.....
