Any word with the suffix -philia means "lover of," and usually in a very dirty, unclean, filthy, nasty way. This particular word is no exception. It's a paraphilia, which means "powerful and persistent sexual interest other than in copulatory or precopulatory behavior with phenotypically normal, consenting adult human partners."

Have I hyped this up enough?

Let's talk to some sexologist named John Money. (What the hell kind of name for a sexologist is that? On a similar note, is there any name that's a good name for a sexologist?) He explains that hybristophilia is "a paraphilia of the marauding/predatory type in which sexuerotic arousal and facilitation and attainment of orgasm are responsive to and contingent on being with a partner known to have committed an outrage or crime."

There is one symptom for this condition. That symptom is a sexual attraction to people who have committed crimes.

Currently, there are no known treatments for hybristophilia.

There's a disorder out there that makes you love supervillains, and there's no cure.
