Who: Brad Wesley (as played by Ben Gazzara)
What: The destruction of a perfectly fine Ford dealership
When: May 1989
Where: "Road House"
Why it's a great moment: Brad Wesley destroys quite a few people's livelihoods in "Road House." Like Red's auto parts shop, Emmet's house and Sam Elliott's scar-covered carcass. This despite the fact that, early on in the movie, he talks about how he built the town up from nothing (he even got a JC Penney, you guys).
But the destruction of Strodenmire's business takes the cake, because not only does Wesley tear the place to pieces (well, technically a henchman does it for him), he does it while the guy and just about everybody else looks on, knowing that can't do shit about it. Wesley even gives the order to do it right in front of the guy! And once it's done, he and his crew just stand there, laughin' and gloatin' all over the place, like they're some seriously invincible motherfuckers, because, until the last scene of the movie, they are.
And for that, we salute them.

Remember in 1989 how everybody had a monster truck and drove them everywhere?
