Who: Bullseye
What: Discrediting and still being a better Daredevil than Daredevil is or ever was.
When: November 1990 - March 1991
Where: Daredevil 285-290
Why its a great moment: Bullseye finds Daredevil's costume, and decides hey, I could wear that. It'd be fun.
Over the next few weeks Bullseye tries to discredit Daredevil by stealing and killing while posing as the red-costumed hero. He sends a little bit of a mixed message, as most of the people of New York love him better than the original. (The original, by the way, thinks he's his own father and can't read anymore.)
So Bullseye starts killing slightly more people than he's saving. Matt Murdock gets hit enough in the head to remember who he is. He somehow finds Bullseye's costume, and wears that. While fighting, Bullseye can't remember which one he is, and heroically spares Daredevil's life.
So to recap: Bullyseye steals Daredevil's costume, despite his rampant killing, New York likes this Daredevil better, forgets which guy he is in a fight.
And for that, we salute him.
