WARNING: This greatest moment of villainy is a serious SPOILER for the game "BioShock." Be warned!
Who: Atlas/Frank Fontaine
What: Fooling you, the player, into killing your dad
When: August 2007
Where: "BioShock"
Why it's a great moment: There aren't many friendly voices in Rapture, the glorious underwater city that serves as the setting for BioShock. So when a nice-sounding Irish fellow named Atlas chimes in on your radio and starts helping you out, you feel pretty quickly that he's the only one who's on your side. A friend.
And then, ain't it always the way, you find out he's been manipulating you do things like kill your dad (who just happens to be the guy who built the city) and put yourself in front of huge guys in diving suits by putting the trigger words "would you kindly" in your ear. Man, all my friendships end up like that. Oh, and he's really smuggler/mobster Frank Fontaine, the dude responsible for all the crazy freaks that have been trying to kill you the whole game! When he finally reveals his identity, he asks if you would kindly kill yourself. Which, at least he was polite about it.
For that, we salute him.

Now, would you kindly get stepped on by a Big Daddy?
