Villainy's Greatest Moments: "I'm Sorry You Had To See Me Like That"

Who: The Smoke Monster (in the guise of John Locke)

What: Owning the shit out of Jacob's crew

When: February 2009

Where: LOST

Why it's a great moment: It's always nice, when a guy loses his composure, leaves the room and kills the hell out of a whole cave full of dudes with guns, for him to come back an apologize. And that's exactly what Locke/Smokey (who I'm lobbying to be commonly referred to as "Montesquieu") did after rival Jacob's guys tried to shoot him a bunch.

And I mean, it was pretty well deserved. He had just gotten disgruntled Ben Linus to stab Jacob in the chest and then, to add burning to injury, kicked old Jacob right into the fire. But, you know, at least he was polite.

And for that, we salute him.

Excellent! Montesquieu exhibited excellent etiquette. An admirable exhibition of Supervillainy. Much better received by me than what happened to Sylar in the Heroes Season Finale.
